[Korra's been out at the lake with her new friend Agito, forever known now as Patchy. So it's a little while before she turns up, running up to the house.]
There has got to be a better way of traveling here than running.... [She takes a moment to catch her breath before cracking her knuckles.]
[She grins and looks around for a moment before earthbending up a low wall. It stood about two inches high and ran parallel to the wall of the house, about five feet away.]
We just need something big enough where we can mess around without bumping into each other. [She pauses for a moment to survey the space they had to work with. After a couple minutes, she raises up three more short walls to cover about 2/3 the floor space of the pro-bending arena's gym. After a few more minutes, she makes a 10' by 10' block off one side. Another issue solved: where to put her room.]
[Tapping his chin, he nods. He inspects it as though he is a professional, walks forwards and then around before coming back around and flashing Korra a thumbs up. ]
[He mimics with the opposite side, match her height and width. He's never built a real house before; he tried once, when he and Mako were kids. In the park, the cops didn't take too lightly to a poorly mashed together house.
[Well, he's got one up on Korra since she only ever built something remotely house-like while doing her earthbending training several years ago. But it was a lesson that was breezed through and skimmed over. I mean, really. What Avatar would need to construct a building? This one, apparently. But hey, she'll give it her best shot.]
He flashes her a grin, all teeth and bright eyes and he's having fun. It sort of feels like it's been .. a really long time since he and she have goofed off. Or spent time together that wasn't let's kick bad guy butt. It's just really really nice. ]
[That she can't argue with. They are having a good time. There's no Equalists around to fight, no one getting kidnapped.... Well, minus by the Animus, but they aren't doing any more kidnapping for now.
In a weird way, helping to actually build something for their use is... enjoyable. Not as much as probending or fighting, but she's doing something with meaning behind it. She's making something that stands a chance of lasting instead of bringing more ruin and destruction to a land that has seen much better days. It feels good.]
[It feels a little permanent. Like -- even if Bolin were to disappear, this thing that they built together would stay. And that means something significant. It's a little sad, but it feels poignant that he's doing it with Korra.
It's completely sentimental.
He sort of wants a sign, "The Gym Korra and Bolin built."]

So. Where should we put this gym?
action.
[Tapping his chin, he looks around appreciatively. Next to the house? A bit away from the house? Somewhere else entirely? So many options! ]
Let's detach it from the house. So we can, you know ... not have to hear Asami and Mako be all grumpy.
action.

Is there good, or should we move it farther away?
action.
Maybe a few more inches away. How big do we wanna go with this? I don't think we've got anyone to tell us how much land we can use.

How does that look?
action.
Pretty good! Big enough, definitely big enough.
