[ Asami is exhausted by the time Korra drops in, eyes sorely dried and breaths quiet and small. She sets aside the PCD onto the sofa from her lap. ]

I thought I'd give you the credit you deserve. You're still Korra to me.

I don't feel like I deserve any credit. I've been a lousy friend to you and I put everyone in danger.

[At least she's not crying, but her voice sounds a little hollow. The fear's still there, but Toph's visit and a little extra time after helped dry her out.]

[ After a moment of consideration, Asami stands from the sofa so that she can take a seat next to Korra. Her weight rests on an arm rather than Naga, although her free hand idly pets the fur. ]

I think you did the right thing. And plans go awry, that's just how these battles work. You can't take every step backwards to heart, that's just toxic and you know you're better.

It's just... hard. I thought after what happened the first time I'd be fine, but he still scares me. I'm too scared to face him and he knows it.

[Her head tilts down, suddenly finding the floor a lot more interesting to stare at.]

[ She gently withdraws her hand. ]

I want to believe you, I really do, but I can't. Every time I try to think about taking him down I just remember his hand coming down at my face. I remember him saying I'm saving you for last.

[She averts her gaze again and looks down at her hands. They're shaking a little, so she stuffs them under her armpits to keep them still.]

I hate how much he scares me....

Korra, no one is going to let that happen again.
